South Alive is a volunteer-led urban rejuvenation and community development organisation based in South Invercargill, with a vision to build a vibrant, diverse community that takes the lead in its own future.
Operating through volunteer groups focused on community-identified projects and events, we have achieved significant change in South Invercargill in the six years we have been operating.
We are looking for a new trustee who will be excited about delivering change in South Invercargill and increasing the involvement of the community in new and innovative projects.
The new trustee will preferably have local South Invercargill knowledge through residency, business or organisation involvement and be energetic and enthusiastic. Relevant skill sets include any of:
• vision and strategic thinking
• financial governance
• practical know-how
• knowledge of community development principles
• marketing and promotion
• health and safety governance
Commitment required: The board meets monthly on a Tuesday evening from 6.30pm. In addition, one to two hours per week are required for related activities.
