We are looking for a talented and experienced Dry Goods Buyer who has a passion for the supermarket industry to ensure the Dry Goods Departments are running effectively while maximising opportunities.


The ideal candidate will be:



  • Great at building strong relationships and communicating effectively, especially with our supplier community

  • Particular when it comes to details

  • Driven to find the best deals to pass on to our customers

  • Focused on providing exceptional customer service at all times

  • Analytical, self-motivated and show initiative

  • Highly organised, reliable and accountable

  • Experienced within the supermarket industry


Key responsibilities of this position include:



  • Securing product procurement on optimum terms

  • Meeting with supplier representatives

  • Ordering stock for the dry goods area

  • Analysing sales, profitability and product performance

  • Managing stock levels in conjunction with the dry goods management team

  • Overseeing stock movements within the dry goods departments

  • Setting up new products and deletions

  • Organizing promotional signage and display space in \ the dry goods departments

  • Responding to customer enquiries and order requests

  • Utilising our SAP business reporting system to the stores advantage

  • A commitment to our Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards.


You will be working in a diverse environment, alongside others with a passion for the food industry. This is a full time position. The days of work will be Monday – Friday and the hours of work will be discussed with the successful applicant, they may be tailored to suit the individual.
