These opportunities don’t come very often — a second tier position in a great Council! The Clutha District Council has a vacancy for their Group Manager Planning and Regulatory, based in Balclutha. The Clutha District is forging ahead implementing actions that create economic and population
growth. This position is at the heart of it, helping shape the District for years to come, managing and in?uencing growth, and planning for its impact.

We are looking for someone with the knowledge, experience and right attitude to lead Council’s planning and regulatory functions. You will need a planning quali?cation and
experience, but you will also be responsible for a suite of regulatory functions and can meld multiple activities and their professionals into an effective Department.

The Clutha District Council has embarked on some exciting “big” funding projects to enhance and develop the towns of Clutha and you could be part of making that happen.

The position requires excellent people skills, an ability to prioritise and get things done within regulatory timeframes, a focus on ?nding practical solutions and providing sound advice to Council and its communities.
