We are a family orchard business growing apples and pears, cherries and apricots on our Central Otago orchards, and operate a packhouse and coolstore supplying New Zealand and export customers.
Horticultural Career Opportunities
Orchard Supervisor
This is a permanent full-time orchard role, reporting to the Orchard Manager. There is an opportunity for career progression to an orchard manager position. You have practical orchard experience and are willing to learn. You
are physically ?t and capable.
You are committed to improving orchard performance, and achieving goals. You are IT capable, con?dent with instructing and overseeing staff, and experienced with orchard equipment and machinery. You understand careful and timely use of water, nutrition, and crop care products.
You are courteous and professional, comfortable with people from other cultures and able to relate to all staff in a positive manner.
Packing Administration Supervisor
This is a full-time seasonal packhouse role from January to June. Orchard work may be available at other times of the year.
You are responsible for documenting, data entry and despatch of export and NZ market fruit each day. You are friendly and courteous, and good at relating to customers, suppliers and staff. Career progression options are available. Prior experience in the fruit industry is an advantage, but not
essential. Training is provided.
Fruit Quality Inspector
This is a full-time seasonal packhouse role from January to June. Orchard work may be available at other times of the year. Training will start during December. Inspection experience, or fruit knowledge is an advantage, but not essential. You will be sampling and assessing fruit quality and export suitability. You will be systematic, good at record keeping and decision making. You are courteous and professional in working with suppliers and staff.
Assistant Forklift Driver Position
This is a full-time seasonal position from January until May (end of fruit season). You may also be assisting with stacking fruit cartons and moving packaging. Care in handling fruit is essential. Forklift license and experience is necessary.
